Training Evaluation
Future Learning helps organizations identify opportunities to link training with results. Our methodology of Training Evaluation involves a four level approach:
- Reaction
- Learning
- Behavior
- Results
We believe passionately that all training programs must have a strong foundation in the identification of business needs; meaning that the training gets the results that the client is seeking.
Although our primary focus in training evaluation is measuing results, it is important to measure all four learning levels to ensure that positive results are actually related to the training.
- Determining learners Reactions to training involves getting feedback on how they feel about the training.
- Measuring Learning usually involves one or more methods of testing to determine their level of information understanding and retention.
- Observing Behavior is necessary to determin how the learner is using the training in their job.
- Measuring Results and analyzing changes in results is the most complex but also the most important step, because in the vast majority of situations the main goal of training is achieving improved results.
For some clients this four level approach to training evaluation forms the basis for a complete analysis of training Return On Investment (ROI).
